“RHI”s employees participated in The Marathon as part of the action  “Workshops Of Solidarity Against Violence To Women”

On Sunday, November 3 one of the biggest sports events in Turkey the Intercontinental ‘Vodafone 41st Istanbul Marathon’ was held in Istanbul…

The start signal for the marathon was given by the Minister of Youth and Sports Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoglu, Governor of Istanbul Ali Yerlikaya, the Mayor of Istanbul Ekrem Imamoglu and others. The route laid through one of the three suspended bridges over the Bosphorus between Asia and Europe at the distance of 42, 15 and 8 km. Approximately 140 thousand people from 106 countries participated in the race.

Charity marathons have long become commonplace all over the world. In the context of so called ‘run for charity’ marathons, people run to help homeless children, cancer patients or other people in need of care and support. Everyone can choose a cause which will motivate him/her to run many kilometers long distance.

“Workshops of Solidarity Against Violence to Women” became the project for which the employees of the Holding participated in the marathon and raised monetary charity from contributors, and acquaintances.

14 employees of Renaissance Heavy Industries participated in the marathon with the team of Rönesans Holding. RHI employees have collected donations from 106 contributors. We extend our congratulations our friends who contributed to this significant project.
